To thoroughly implement the relevant regulations on the transportation of containerized goods by ship, comprehensively improve the transportation management technology level of the industry, and promote the development of the shipping and transportation industry. On October 14, 2021, Yantian Maritime Safety Administration organized an online exchange meeting on "UN38.3 Lithium Batteries and Dangerous Goods Shipping for Batteries" for enterprise declarants, packers, ship agents, freight forwarders, and other colleagues. We specially invited our General Manager Huang Fei, Deputy General Manager Duan Pike, and other members to share the technical requirements of the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code.
At the beginning of the meeting, Gao Peng, representative of Yantian Maritime Bureau, shared with everyone the situation of dangerous goods transportation in shipborne containers and relevant provisions of the Maritime Safety Law, emphasizing the importance of paying attention to regulations on cargo transportation.
Secondly, our general manager Huang Fei gave a comprehensive introduction to the development history, cultural construction, and safety management of the laboratory. Our technical experts adopted a combination of theory and practice to share the UN numbering rules, special provisions, packaging instructions, dangerous packaging boxes, and dangerous packaging certificates for the sea transportation of lithium batteries.
Next, representative Gao Xiang from Yantian Maritime Bureau shared a special case on the sea transportation of lithium batteries, emphasizing that the submitted transportation documents must be consistent with the information of the transported goods.
Afterwards, the attendees had in-depth exchanges and discussions on the sea transportation of dangerous goods such as lithium batteries. Through this exchange meeting, all enterprises have gained a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the management requirements for sea freight transportation. We warmly congratulate the successful completion of this exchange meeting!
