Classification of dangerous goods:

According to the United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, dangerous goods are divided into the following nine categories:

Category 1: Explosives

Category 2: Gas

Class 3: Flammable liquids

Class 4: Flammable solids, substances prone to spontaneous combustion, substances that release flammable gases upon contact with water

Class 5: Oxidative substances and organic peroxides

Category 6: Toxic and Infectious Substances

Class 7: Radioactive substances

Class 8: Corrosive substances

Class 9: Miscellaneous dangerous goods
